Whilst wrestling against a financial crisis it seems that we take comfort in the simplest pleasures of food and drink. People want to eat well, they want know more about their food, and they want to know where it comes from and how it affects them. Food is becoming more than just sustenance. On a grander scale we are forced to consider the future of food – how will we sustain our eating habits as supplies dwindle? And can we eat more responsibly?
The Eating and Drinking Club takes a look at the people who are changing the way we experience food: innovators, experimenters, researchers and militant foodies. This is a portrait project celebrating and exploring the human relationship with food.
